Where he came from

The Costume
One day a green frog costume turned up in a box of old props - discarded and unclaimed. He pulled it on and something clicked inside him. A frog had been living inside that cat the whole time.
The Swamp
He slipped through a gap in the fence and found a real swamp - lily pads and a frog chorus every evening and zero schedules of any kind. He has been croaking ever since. Not very convincingly yet. But getting louder every day.
